A Valid Passport
If your passport is out of date (or close to its expiry date, we recommend that you travel with a least six full months validity following your return travel date home). If you need a new passport, email passportdublin@iveagh.irlgov.ie or collect the application forms from your local Garda station, get 2 passport sized photographs and visit the Passport Office or alternatively use the Passport Express services at An Post who guarantee a return within 10 working days.
NB: For Travel to the USA, CHILDREN require their own individual passport and ALL passports must be now MACHINE READABLE, if not you will need to have a visa for entry in the USA.

Visas
Certain countries require entry visas, apply in good time if this is relevant to your destination.

Vaccinations
If you are flying long-haul, check with your local GP or clinic if any vaccinations are necessary for that area. For online information please visit the Tropical Medical Bureau at www.tmb.ie

Travellers Cheques, Foreign Exchange and Credit Cards
Traveller's cheques and eurocheques are probably the safest way to carry money abroad. Carrying a small amount of the local currency is handy upon arrival for tipping or for those little emergencies. You can also check with your credit card company amount lodging money you’re your Credit card account and utilise this as much as possible. We would recommend a combination of both "traveller’s checks and Credit Care" and it is wise that these two be kept separate should an emergency arise.

Flight Tickets & Travel Documents
When you receive your Holiday documentation from JustTheTrip (by email or paper documentation), double check all the timings and ensure you are aware of check-in times and departure times.

Medical
If you have a medical condition or specific ailment, make sure you bring adequate medicines, lotions, pills etc. as these may not be available abroad (or have the recognised brand names). If your condition is serious, it may be necessary to carry a letter from your Doctor confirming your fitness to travel.
